Family Favorites the Healthy Way

I'm so excited about being able to blog. Last year I wrote a "Tasty Memories Family Cookbook" of favorite recipes using Matilda Cookbook software. I actually prepared most of the dishes and added photos too. My husband really enjoyed this endeavor because he was the taste tester. Well that would have been fine but of course I had to eat what I cooked too, and when you start eating all those good "Tasty Memories" the pounds go on (me anyway). Well I was happy about the cookbook but not the many, many extra pounds. Wondering what I could do this year, because I promised that there would be a volume two, I said to myself, "I can't do that again, I will get fatter!!" That really got me down until I discovered this fantastic new way of eating with personal coaching too. I first learned of Jorge Cruise in The Costco Connection (October issue 2009, p. 57). I signed up for his 12 week Belly Fat Cure. So far, it has been an exciting journey. I want to spread the good news about letting go of belly fat that I am learning from Jorge Cruise. I have been a dieter for years and thought I knew it all, but Jorge Cruise is teaching me many things that are so important to good health. So, for my next project with "Tasty Memories" I will be converting them into healthy recipes with the sugar/carbohydrate/fiber (S/C/F) value. This month I am going to convert all of our family's favorites for Thanksgiving eating the healthy way.

Ready For Thanksgiving/Cranberry Sauce

Today I made cranberry sauce and want to share the recipe with everyone who wants to let go of the BELLY FAT!!!

Garny's Cranberry Sauce

1 1/2 cups fresh whole cranberries
1/2 cup water
1/2 Xylitol

Mix water and Xylitol in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Add cranberries and lower heat, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes stir occasionally. Let cool and put into your container and enjoy served cold. This makes about 1 1/8 cup of Fresh Homemade Cranberry Sauce. I'm going to try it with a little orange zest and nuts the next time.

Serving: 2 Tablespoons
S/C = 1/1

ENJOY!!
